Greater Noida: Yeida offers 19 group home plots under the new concept

YEIDA's housing project will assist create at least 25,000 flats, catering to a range of sectors, from low to luxury housing.

The Yamuna Motorway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) announced on Wednesday that a new group housing plot scheme will be launched on Thursday, with 19 plots ranging in size from 2.5 acres to 12 acres available in sectors 17, 18, and 22D, near the greenfield Noida International Airport.

"We were unable to launch the group housing plots concept earlier because farmers had not provided land for our projects. We now have handled all land compensation issues. Farmers have withdrawn their writs filed before the Allahabad High Court. As a result, we have enough land to grant to private developers who will build housing projects primarily for the inexpensive sector', said Arun Vir Singh, Yeida's CEO.

The plots will be allotted through an e-auction, with reserve prices set between ₹32,375-35,612 per sqm.

This program will assist in the construction of at least 25,000 flats, catering to a wide variety of income levels from affordable to luxury housing.

Yeida stated that Sector 22D has eight plots in four sizes: 20,235 sqm (four plots), 47,754 sqm (two plots), 45,731 sqm (one plot), and 48,564 sqm (one plot). The reserve values range between ₹65.51 crore and ₹173 crore.

Sector 18 will offer five 16,188 sqm plots with a reserve price of ₹55 crore each, and one plot of the same size with a reserve price of ₹58 crore.

Sector 17 has five plots available, with sizes ranging from 11,513 sqm (two plots) to 12,141 sqm (one plot), 20,235 sqm (one plot), and 24,282 sqm. The reserve values range between ₹37 crore and ₹78 crore.

The new program has 19 plots totalling 430,000 square meters with a reserve price of around ₹1,407 crore. The administration allocated two group home sites in Sector 22D to Purvanchal Projects and Eldeco Infrastructure, generating ₹250 crore in revenue.

We anticipate that industrial growth will drive up housing demand in the area. People who come here to work in factories, data centre parks, Noida International Airport, Film City, and several other significant projects will require housing and other amenities, and we intend to offer at least another 30 group housing plots in the future," Singh explained.
