Saugata Gupta of Marico and family purchased a 36.4 crore flat in Mumbai's Worli

Saugata Gupta, Managing Director and CEO at Marico, and wife Reema Sen bought a flat in Mumbai's Worli for 36.4 crore, according to property registration documents seen by Zapkey.

The transaction was registered on July 29, 2024, with a stamp duty of ₹2.18 crore and registration expenses of ₹30,000, according to the records.


Gupta and his wife, Reema Sen, are joint owners. The paperwork indicated that the flat was purchased during the second phase of the Birla Niyaara project.

Local brokers report that apartments in Central Mumbai's premium complexes, especially in Worli, can cost between ₹70,000 and ₹1 lakh per square foot.


Mumbai's top deals

In July, Priyanjali Mariwala, who oversees the ASCENT Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation of Harsh Mariwala, chairman of Marico, purchased an apartment in Sunteck Signature Island, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, for 65.25 crore, according to documents seen by Zapkey.

 

The supplier was Starlight Systems (I) Pvt Ltd. The carpet area of the housing unit is 8292 square feet, and it has four parking places, according to the paperwork.

 

Lloyds Group chairman Mukesh Gupta's wife Abha Gupta and son Shreekrishna Gupta recently purchased a ₹107 crore triplex in Worli, Mumbai, according to property registration papers obtained by Zapkey.

 

The triplex is 13,207 square feet in size. The records registered on June 27, 2024, state that the flat was purchased for 81,133 per square foot.
